“À la mousquetaire” French soldier sword with wire-wrapped grip

This sword is similar to the FSDL-01 model but the grip is made of wood covered with two twisted brass wires. One is twisted clockwise and the other counter-clockwise, creating a herringbone — or braided — pattern. This variation is well documented by objects preserved in European and North American historical collections.
